JOY At LAST!

Our dream of becoming a family took place on Easter Monday at 11:30 in the morning. That’s when 10 month old Sophie Joy was placed in our arms at the Changsha Civil Affairs Office. It was a very emotional moment for us. Our daughter’s Chinese name, Xu Yun, was called out, our passports checked, and then the announcement was made, "you may now hold your baby". Sophie was placed in my arms. We took turns holding her and being in awe over our beautiful daughter. Now as I look back at that wonderful moment, I can’t imagine what our lives would be like without Sophie. It’s as if she has always been with us. She has brought more joy to our lives than I ever could have imagined! Yes, joy came at last!

Sophie attends Preschool and loves taking swimming and Ballet lessons. She is looking forward in someday becoming a Jie Jie (big sister) to a Mei Mei (little sister).
